Jay's concept was magnetic and eventually created a following of shoppers affectionately referred to as "the sisterhood". The ones who discovered the Stein Mart experience, not only return often, but they love to share their success stories with others. This was the most natural reason to support a campaign based entirely on "real shoppers."
We traveled all over the country and were constantly met with avid female shoppers that repeatedly used the term "love" to describe their relationship with Stein Mart. That effort helped us create and develop dozens of television spots, videos, in-store banners, social recognition and more, utilizing these real customers naturally and honestly. The efforts were rewarding and created incredible results that started an even bigger following of loyal customers that aligned with the sisterhood approach.
