So when we got the call to work on The Peabody Hotel we couldn't be more jazzed. To be associated with "the" hotel known for the historically-loved duck march was an honor. Utilizing the images from the family of ducks and their power was an important part of building on the equity that had already been established. We focused on creating more value and marketing leverage utilizing the ducks wherever it made sense. The experience was very rewarding and successful. Room stays and meetings booked increased, and an almost $500 million renovation campaign built that beyond the most bullish projections. But what made this journey even more satisfying was working with the people that made the hotel what it was. They were smart, appreciative and about as nice a group as you could ever wish to work with. The hotel was eventually sold to the Hyatt organization, one of the biggest hotel brands in the world. That was the end of the duck march and one of the most famous icons in the hospitality industry. Needless to say it was an incredible experience.

Here's how we made some noise for The Peabody Hotel:

  • Brand Strategy
  • Brand Identity
  • Digital
  • Collateral
  • Signage
  • Out of Home
  • Promotions

There are an amazing number of hotel brands in this world. But not an amazing number of well defined hotel brands. After all, there are just so many things that can be said to persuade potential guests to choose one property over another. Of course, size does help and everyone wants to accumulate points for rewards from the big hotel chains. But how many brands have a well-known, and even world-famous, icon? Not many.
